DR Medical AG, based in Solothurn, Switzerland, is a subsidiary of REGER Medizintechnik and was founded in 2004. Originally, the company specialized in the development and production of Shaver Blades & Burs for arthroscopy, a technology that was acquired by REGER Medizintechnik in 2019. Today, DR Medical AG acts as a sales location for the REGER Group's entire product range, which includes solutions for electrosurgery, arthroscopy and endoscopic spinal surgery.

As part of the internationally active REGER Group, which employs over 120 people at four locations in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, the REGER Group is characterized by short decision-making processes, comprehensive service and a broad product range. Throughout the company, great importance is attached to the safety and effectiveness of the products in order to guarantee optimum patient care.

We place particular emphasis on the development of specifically tailored instruments in close cooperation with our customers. With our many years of experience, a team of experts and in-depth development and manufacturing know-how, we work in partnership with our customers to create customized solutions for their specific requirements.

History

2004

Foundation of DR MEDICAL AG

DR Medical AG is founded by the engineer Orlando Da Rold (DA Rold Engineering AG). He specialized in developing unique and innovative solutions for medical technology products. Until his departure, Mr. Da Rold managed the company in Solothurn.

2006

The first DR Shaver Blades & Burs leave the factory

Just two years after DR Medical AG was founded, the highly innovative arthroscopy Shaver Blades & Burs were launched on the market. With its outstanding quality and unique added value, DR Medical AG quickly attracted attention in the market.

2016

Acquisition by Roth Holding AG

In 2016, DR Medical AG and DA Rold Engineering AG were acquired by Roth Holding AG. This acquisition enabled both companies to consolidate their market position and intensify cooperation within the Group. This enabled targeted further development of existing expertise and optimization of the product range.

2019

Acquisition by REGER Medizintechnik GmbH

In 2019, DR Medical AG and DA Rold Engineering AG were acquired by REGER Medizintechnik GmbH. This acquisition enabled the REGER Group to expand its product portfolio in the field of arthroscopy in a targeted manner. The technologies brought in made a significant contribution to strengthening the REGER Group's innovative strength and developing pioneering products. As a result, existing expertise was further developed in a targeted manner and the product range was strategically optimized.

2021

Expansion with REGER product portfolio

The strategic merger of the product groups of DR Medical AG and the REGER Group was successfully completed in 2021. As a result of this integration, DR Medical AG now offers the entire product portfolio of the REGER Group, including the Shaver Blades & Burs, manufactured and marketed under the REGER brand for the first time. This strengthens DR Medical AG's market presence and promotes its international growth from its Swiss location in Solothurn.
